Born and Raised on the Big Island of Hawaii, Watai began Drawing and Painting at the age of Three. By his teen years he became a Published, Award Winning Featured Solo Artist.

Upon graduating High School, Watai moved to Oahu to enroll in the UH Manoa Art Program and the Honolulu Academy of Art Educational Internship program while continuing to be exhibited in public places such as Honolulu Hale and UH Manoa.

During this time Watai expanded his talent into numerous applications including: Art Directing, Styling, Retail Staging, Logo Design, Jewelry Design, Fabric Design and Mural Paintings.
